The operating layer between ingredient stock, ordering & food cost

Pantry Pro is designed as one structured operating view across four connected areas — what is in the kitchen, what it will need, what those ingredients cost, and what to prepare to buy.

  • Stock
  • Forecast
  • Cost
  • Plan

Four modules, one ingredient record. The structure is the product.

Product architecture

Four modules built on one ingredient record

Each module is useful on its own. Together they are intended to remove the gaps between stock, ordering and cost.

Module 01 — Stock

Stock

Ingredient information and inventory visibility. Ingredient records organised by category, with recorded quantities and status held in one operating view.

  • Ingredient records with category organisation
  • Recorded stock levels by line
  • Status markers showing where to look first
  • A single view in place of separate records
Inventory management

Module 02 — Forecast

Forecast

Upcoming requirements and planning signals. Available operational information is used to indicate what the kitchen is likely to need across a planning horizon.

  • Indicated upcoming ingredient requirements
  • Usage direction between recorded counts
  • A planning horizon rather than a single day
  • Review points before the ordering decision
Ordering & forecasting

Module 03 — Cost

Cost

Food-cost percentage and ingredient cost awareness, held next to the stock and purchasing information the figures come from.

  • Ingredient cost information by line
  • Cost movement by category
  • Food-cost percentage as an operational figure
  • Trend visibility across periods
Food cost control

Module 04 — Plan

Plan

Ordering requirement review and operational planning. A reviewed requirement list that supports order preparation by the business.

  • Requirement lists grouped for review
  • Adjustment against menu and trading knowledge
  • Preparation for ordering with your own suppliers
  • No automated purchasing of any kind
How it works

Available features depend on the deployed platform version and agreed service configuration.

How it is layered

From the ingredient record up to management information

Pantry Pro is structured in layers, so the operational detail underneath stays connected to the commercial picture on top.

  • Ingredient layer

The ingredient record is the unit everything else attaches to — category, unit of measure, recorded quantity and cost information.

    Foundation

  • Operational layer

Recorded counts and movement build a picture of how ingredients pass through the kitchen over time.

    Movement

  • Planning layer

Stock position and usage information are used to indicate upcoming requirements across a horizon you can review.

    Forward view

  • Commercial layer

Ingredient cost and food-cost percentage information sit alongside the operational data rather than in a separate report.

    Cost

  • Management layer

A consolidated operating view intended to support decisions about stock, ordering and cost.

    Decision support

  • Configuration

What is available to a given business depends on the deployed platform version and the agreed service scope.

    Scope

The ingredient record

One record, four things attached to it

The reason stock, forecast, cost and ordering can be read together in Pantry Pro is that they are not four separate datasets. They are four views of the same ingredient record.

That is the whole architectural idea, and it is why the product feels different from bolting a cost report onto an inventory list.

Ingredient intelligence

One board for stock, usage, forecast and cost

Instead of reading stock in one place and cost in another, ingredient lines are presented together with the information an operator needs to decide what to do next.

Stock
Recorded quantity against an illustrative par level.
Usage
Movement recorded between counts, with direction.
Forecast
Indicated requirement for the next period.
Cost movement
Change in recorded ingredient cost.

Status markers indicate where an operator may wish to look first. They are prompts for review, not instructions, and they depend on the information recorded in the platform.

Product workflows

How the modules are used day to day

Operational data, forecasting & business responsibility

What the platform depends on, and what stays with you

Pantry Pro is designed to support inventory visibility, ordering forecasts, food-cost monitoring, and operational decision-making. Outputs depend on the quality, completeness, timeliness, and relevance of information available to the platform.

  • 01

    Inventory data quality

Stock visibility reflects what has been recorded. Counts, units and ingredient records need to be maintained for the operating view to be dependable.

  • 02

    Forecasting transparency

Forecasts are estimates produced from available operational information. They indicate likely requirements; they do not guarantee demand, usage or outcomes.

  • 03

    Food cost interpretation

Food-cost figures depend on the ingredient, purchasing, stock and pricing information available, and should be reviewed by the business before financial use.

  • 04

    Purchasing responsibility

Requirement lists support order preparation. Ordering decisions, quantities and supplier arrangements remain with the customer at all times.

  • 05

    Data & privacy

Information provided through this website is handled as described in our privacy policy, and used to respond to business enquiries.

  • 06

    Client transparency

Available functionality depends on the deployed platform version and agreed service scope. We would rather set that out clearly than imply more.

Forecasts are estimates and decision-support information. They do not guarantee future sales, ingredient usage, stock requirements, demand, purchasing needs, margins, or commercial outcomes.

Final purchasing, stock, pricing, food safety, accounting, tax, employment, operational, and commercial decisions remain the responsibility of the customer and relevant qualified professionals where appropriate.
